Avanti Press is a global publisher of greeting cards and photo products delivering humor with an attitude. 

Originally hired by Rick Ruffner and Michael Quakenbush as Photo Researcher and Editor, I presently work as Creative Consultant, Content Development under the leadership of David Laubach.

I contribute to the creative department by collaborating with in-house art directors on creative concepts for illustrations and photography for existing product lines. I lead creative brainstorming sessions and contribute concepts, sketches and storyboards. I also analyze social media research for insight into current trends and topics.

In my previous role as Photo Researcher and Editor, I searched for the best existing photography directly from photographers and photo agencies. I would find a great image and track it down, reach out to photographers and art directors to find sources and then negotiate the rights. I would travel to meet photographers all over the country to develop relationships and acquire fabulous images for the card line. I had the good fortune to edit from amazing collections and photographers.

My favorite photo trip was visiting the advertising photography community in Minneapolis.
